Ltd., the facility spans over 32,000 square meters and was planned to deliver reliability under continuous use, protection against weather variability, and operational safety at scale.
From the outset, the brief focused on creating a structure that performs consistently over decades. This meant prioritising roof systems that could handle thermal movement, eliminate leak risks, and maintain integrity under demanding conditions. The building was not treated as a temporary industrial shell, but as a strategic asset that underpins logistics efficiency and customer trust.
Collaboration that enabled a one-stop delivery model
For FM Logistic, the Jhajjar project required a partner capable of managing complexity across design, supply, and erection. The expectation was clear. The roofing system had to meet stringent FM approval norms, integrate seamlessly with the building structure, and be delivered through a single accountable partner.
Tata Steel Colors was selected as the preferred partner to deliver this integrated scope. The role extended beyond material supply to include system design, engineering coordination, and execution support. This approach reduced interface risks and ensured that performance intent was carried through from concept to completion.

For the Jhajjar facility, an FM-approved MR-24® roofing system was deployed. While globally specified for over four decades, the system was selected here for its ability to behave like a single steel membrane across large spans, accommodating thermal movement while maintaining weather tightness.
Rather than being positioned as a product feature, the roofing system functioned as an operational safeguard. It supports leak-free performance, long-term durability, and predictable maintenance planning, all of which are essential for high-throughput logistics operations.
Engineering decisions driven by safety and longevity
Beyond the roof panels, the secondary framing system was designed to meet FM approval norms. C and Z-type purlins were engineered and supplied as part of the overall solution, ensuring structural compatibility and performance alignment across the building envelope.
Steel was chosen as the primary material for its endurance, dimensional stability, and suitability for large industrial spans. The combination of high-strength grades for purlins and roofing supported both structural efficiency and installation safety, particularly important given the scale of the facility.
