Shah
Chairperson
Ms. Samita Shah is Vice President – Corporate Finance, Treasury & Risk Management of Tata Steel Limited. She is responsible for managing the Treasury and the financing requirements of Tata Steel Group. She manages the relationship with financial stakeholders including banks, rating agencies and investors. She is also the Chief Risk Officer for Tata Steel and has spearheaded the implementation of an enterprise-wide risk management process across the Tata Steel Group. In addition, to being the Chairperson of Tata Steel Colors Private Limited, Ms. Shah is also the Chairperson of TRF Limited and serves on the boards of Tata Steel Minerals Canada Ltd., T S Global Procurement Co. Pte Ltd., Abja Investment Co. Pte Ltd, Tata Steel Foundation, Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited and Tata Advanced Systems Ltd. Ms. Shah joined Tata Steel in 2012 after 20 years of experience in investment banking. She has a BA (Economics) from Mumbai University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India.

Mr. Krishnava Dutt
Director
Mr. Krishnava Dutt (DIN: 02792753) has been appointed as a Director (Non-Executive, Independent) of the Company with effect from December 31, 2025. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Argus Partners, a leading national law firm established in 2009, with offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Kolkata, and is a member of its executive committee advising on key strategic initiatives. Mr. Dutt advises large corporate houses and their boards on corporate governance and board responsibilities and has been the lead adviser on several of the largest and most complex M&A and financing transactions in India. He is widely sought after by CEOs, CFOs, General Counsels, multinational corporations, government agencies, and funds for his deep expertise in law and regulation, combined with a strong understanding of finance, accounting, and business, and has been consistently recognised for building Argus Partners into a premier national-level firm.

Dr. Pingali Venugopal
Director
Dr. Pingali Venugopal (DIN: 05166520) has been appointed as a Director (Non-Executive, Independent) of the Company with effect from December 31, 2025. He brings over four decades of experience spanning research, academia, and marketing, and has been a Professor at XLRI, Jamshedpur since 1994, serving as the Dean of the Institute from 2004 to 2010. He has been a visiting faculty at several premier institutions in India, including the Indian Institutes of Management at Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Kolkata, Ranchi, Kashipur, Visakhapatnam, and Indore, as well as at international institutions such as the American University of Armenia and Educatis University, Switzerland. Dr. Venugopal has also been inducted as a co-trainer for programmes under the Indo-US-Africa Trilateral Cooperation on food security for functionaries from Kenya, Malawi, and Liberia. Prior to his academic career, he spent a decade in the marketing functions at Coromandel Fertilisers and Nagarjuna Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited. He has authored eight books and numerous articles in leading international journals and was conferred the prestigious Distinguished Scholar Award for 2021 by the European Scientific Research Journal. He currently serves on the Boards of Jamipol Limited, Medica TS Hospital Private Limited, and TRF Limited, and has previously been on the Boards of Tata Metaliks and JCAPCPL.

Ms. Atrayee Sanyal
Director
Ms. Atrayee Sanyal (DIN: 07011659) has been appointed as a Director (Non-Executive, Non-Independent) of the Company with effect from December 31, 2025; she is currently the Chief People Officer at Tata Steel Limited, which she joined in 1998 after earlier experience with Hindustan Unilever and market research in Mumbai, beginning her Tata Steel career in the Marketing function at Kolkata. A graduate of Calcutta University with an MBA, she has completed the General Management Programme from CEDEP (INSEAD) and is a recipient of the British Chevening Scholarship in Leadership & Management. Ms. Sanyal has led Tata Steel’s branding journey since 1999, building strong brands in a commodity industry, handled multiple retail and B2SME brands, and was appointed Chief of Marketing & Sales for Branded Products, Retail and Solutions in 2014. She also served as the Chief Diversity Officer, advancing the organisation’s Diversity & Inclusion agenda, and since joining the Human Resource Division in 2017 has managed multiple HR portfolios across white- and blue-collar employees; additionally, she is a member of the Profit Centre Councils of two Tata Steel divisions and serves on the Boards of two Tata Steel subsidiary companies.

Mr. Ujjal Chakraborti
Additional Director
Mr. Ujjal Chakraborti (DIN:07854466) has been appointed as an additional director of the company with effect from 30 th April 2026. Mr. Chakraborti is the Vice President Operations Downstream, at Tata Steel. He has over three decades of experience in the steel industry, spanning across operations, project execution, capacity expansion, and business development. In his current role, he is responsible for providing operational oversight of Tata Steel’s downstream portfolio, across multiple locations, including Tinplate Division; Tubes Division, Units at Khopoli and Sahibabad; all Wires businesses; and the Cold Rolling Complexes at Bara Jamshedpur and Tarapur. Over the course of his career with Tata Steel, Mr Chakraborti has held several senior leadership positions across diverse businesses and functions. These include roles as Executive-in-Charge of the Tubes and Tinplate Business and the Industrial By-Product Management Division (IBMD), as well as Chief Operating Officer of Tata Steel Bhushan Steel Limited (BSL). He has also served as the Managing Director of Jamshedpur Continuous Annealing & Processing Company Private Limited (JCAPCPL), a downstream joint venture between Tata Steel Limited and Nippon Steel Corporation. Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Mr Chakraborti has been actively engaged in industry and institutional leadership. He served as Chairman of the CII Jharkhand State Council. He currently chairs the CII Eastern Region Education & Skill Development Sub- Committee (2025–26), contributing to initiatives focused on education reforms, skill development, and industry-academia collaboration. He has previously served on the boards of Tata Pigments Limited, Himalayan Steel Mill Services, and the International Tubes Association. Mr. Chakraborti holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, and an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur. He has further enhanced his global management perspective through the General Management Program at CEDEP (INSEAD), France.

Mr. Ashish Anupam (DIN: 08384201) has been appointed as an additional director of the company with effect from 30th April 2026. Mr. Ashish Anupam is the Vice President – Marketing & Sales at Tata Steel, leading the company’s largest business vertical with end-to-end P&L responsibility, covering core segments such as Automotive, Branded Products & Retail, Industrial Products & Projects, Tata Tiscon, and Speciality Steel, while advancing consumer-led and solution businesses under the One Construction platform, including Aashiyana. Previously, he served as Vice President, Long Products at Tata Steel Limited and earlier as the Managing Director of Tata Steel Long Products Private Limited. Alongside being on the Board of Tata Steel Colors Private Limited, he is on the Boards of Tata Steel Downstream Private Limited and Neelanchal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL). He also serves as Chairman of Tata Steel (Thailand) Public Company Limited, Siam Industrial Wire Company Limited, and TSN Wires Company Limited, and is the Vice Chair of the Construct Steel Committee of the World Steel Association. With over three decades of industry experience and deep expertise in marketing and sales, he has led large-scale business transformations, capacity expansions, market development, and new product launches. Mr. Ashish joined Tata Steel in 1991 as a Graduate Trainee. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from BIT Mesra, Ranchi, and has completed the Executive General Management Program from INSEAD, France

Mr. Praveen V. Thampi
Managing Director
Mr. Praveen Venugopalan Thampi has been appointed as the Managing Director of Tata Steel Colors effective from 06th August 2025. Mr. Thampi brings with him more than 26 years of extensive experience in the steel industry with deep expertise across multiple geographies and functions. His professional journey began at Tata Steel Ltd and evolved through prominent roles at Jamshedpur, Tata Steel UK, JCAPCPL ( JV with Nippon Steel). Prior to this role, he was Chief of Operations at the latest Cold Rolling Mill Complex at Tata Steel Kalinganagar, Odisha. Throughout his career, Mr. Thampi has demonstrated excellence in high-end manufacturing, innovation in process technologies, Industry 4.0 adoption, New product development, Procurement, Commissioning of Cold roll facilities, and Capital Project execution. He has also led initiatives across safety, marketing, and customer interface management, positioning him as a versatile leader aligned with the dynamic needs of the steel sector. Mr. Thampi has a B-Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Kerala and did his post-graduation in Business Management from XLRI Jamshedpur. He has passionately pursued excellence and innovation in each of the fields and has few process patents to his credit.
